when the lights go out

Yesterday it was so humid and stormy looking but the temperature was soooo nice out. Well we went on a walk and didn't get to far because the wind was almost knocking us down. When we got home there was a tornado watch and thunderstorm warnings. The lights always go out when we have storms so the kids crawled in my bed and we read books by a Coleman lantern. We were looking through a book of famous buildings from Usborn and Carter asks why all the churches look different and people do different things in them. We saw Cathedrals, mosques, Castles, etc.. and he said "I wish God was big enough for everyone to have Him" I told him God is big enough for everyone, but sometimes people don't choose to believe in God. he replied "Well that's weird" and I agree.
I had a really nice time talking about different buildings Mark has been to lately and we got the globe out Carter got at Christmas and found the country's and states the buildings are in. I wish the light would go out more often.

first loose tooth

Carter Allan lost his first tooth on Valentines day 2011. It was a big moment for me. I kind of wiggled harder than he thought I was going to wiggle it. And when it fell out he saw the blood and wigged out a little, but after he saw himself in the mirror he was fine. Sometimes he has to have a moment of freaking out but he always calms down. I rubbed his ears, like in the brain gym exercises and he said, "mom I love...when you rub my ears, it calms me down." I'm glad I'm good for something!

"A Man"

We were getting ready for dinner when Carter came into the kitchen with tears in his eyes. When I asked what was wrong he just said "theirs a man in the house who said I can't play tanks on the computer." So I asked "What man Carter?" I was a little nervous someone was in my house that I didn't know, when he answered "that man David...my dad"
He is so funny, we need a reality show.

I saw a show where a 5 year old saved his mothers life by calling 911. I decided to tell my boys that if something ever happened to mommy and I couldn't they would need to call the ambulance/ 911. they were paying attention...so I thought.
A few days later Coleman fell at the church and busted his mouth wide open. Carter came running in saying CALL 119, 119, help, call 119 !!!!! At the time I was so busy I didn't pay much attention but later I laughed and laughed. If Im ever unconscience I will die.

cheeks

We got a little snow/ice the other day, which is a huge deal in Louisiana. Anyway, we went to play outside for a little over an hour and had a ton of fun. We got inside and Carters face was very red but i thought it was just cold cheeks, well a few hours later it looked worse not better. It was wind burn + enfandiago. It looked aweful but got better after some vaseline on his face for a few days
