Precious prayers

When I was a little girl my family said Thank You prayers to God at night. No matter what bad or good was going on in our lives I remember thanking God. I have tried to teach mine not to repeat the same prayer over and over but to thank God from your heart. Since they are 4 and5 years old this comes in thankful praying.
We were eating lunch with my parents and they asked him to pray for the food. We bowed our heads, closed our eyes and I took a deep breath preparing for Carters sermon. Dear God, thank you for the giraffes, because who else would eat the leaves off the trees...and thank you God for the Elephants because who else would use thier trunks to spray water...and dear God why does the Elephants poop get so big, and dear God..." "AMEN" I kept repeating but to no use he was worshiping in his our geographical way. My dad almost laughed himself to heaven while the rest of us just smiled and enjoyed the simplicity of him.

It still smells like oatmeal

Everyday since he was 6months old Carter has been eating oatmeal for breakfast, almost religiously. Well one morning before we had gotten ready for school I see him sitting watching cartoons. I don't know how to put this delicately so here goes, he was playing with himself as any 5 year old does. nonchalantly sitting watching cartoons with his hand you know where. I explained for the 100th time that to touch your tee tee was gross and nasty. He put his fingers to his nose to a big whiff and said "nope, still smells like oatmeal."
What do you say to that?

Carter is in kindergarten now. He is so hilarious and serious at the same time. We go over homework most afternoons impatiently but even more so when he is tired. He is reviewing "T" words like train, turtle, two etc... any ways the are also going over concepts like patterns or rhyming. Rhyming words hap pend to be on this day, Bed-Red, pat-cat, sit...tit? "Tit" I say, "where did you hear that?' to which Carter replied. "I didn't heard it I made it up." whew that was a close one.

I was upset with Carter when we were trying to clean the playroom and said "you peice of..." and he giggled and said, "mommy you called me a pizza" oh the things they hear

Carter and I were having a rare moment of peace before going to bed. Coleman was asleep(thank God),Connor went out with friends and David was still out of town. Carter looks at me and asked ""Mommy, do I have Daddy's eyes, I said, Yes, you do love bug", "mommy, do I have daddy's hair?...hands?...nose?" "yes you do and you have "his belly and his hiney," I said To which Carter replied " but mommy, I have your heart"!

So a few weeks after schools ended, Carter started stuttering. I don't know why because he has never done this before. Its like he knows what he wants to say he just can't get the thought to come out. I was wondering if anyone had gone though this. It seems worse when he is tired or off schedule. I'm doing less sugar and more water in his diet. Hoping it gets better soon.

I tooted in bed the other night and tried to blame it on Carter. I said ooh Carter you tooted to which he replied, no, no that's not my smell.
