High Functing Autism

People with high-functioning autism or Asperger's syndrome do not have the delayed language development that's typically found in people with autism. In addition, people with high-functioning autism have average or above average intelligence. However, they may show other behaviors and signs similar to what's seen with other types of autism: delay in motor skills lack of skill in interacting with others little understanding of the abstract uses of language, such as humor or give-and-take in a conversation obsessive interest in specific items or information strong reactions to textures, smells, sounds, sights, or other stimuli that others might not even notice, such as a flickering light Unlike people with other forms of autism, people with high-functioning autism or Asperger's syndrome want to be involved with others. They simply don't know how to go about it. They may not be able to understand others' emotions. They may not read facial expressions or body language well. As a result, they may be teased and often feel like social outcasts. The unwanted social isolation can lead to anxiety and depression.

God and volcanoes

Almost two years ago my Nana died of a long battle with Cancer. Carter knew her well and we lived at her house some when I was finishing college at Ouachita Baptist University. She loved kids and always had things for them to play with and kind words to say.Anyway when she died we explained things simply to him about death, going to be with God. he recently has asked more questions like Why did God have to have her? Or is she hurting still? What is cancer? What is sin?... but today came a questions I was impressed with. "If you are not with God when you die who are you with?" I told him when we sin we do not deserve to go to Heaven to be with God we go some where else. God is above the planets and the other place is like a vol canoe deep into the ground. he said "God is up and down is bad." yep!But when we ask Jesus to be Lord of our lives of our desires and forgive our sins we get to be with Him forever. To which he replies. "I don't think Coleman gets to be with God because of his sin, he hit me on the nose with a gun."
Uuuummm, well if he asks God to come into his heart he will be forgiven and get to see God all the time. he says "no, he will be in the vol canoe."
